Arid Garden

The garden is located in Desert Hills I subdivision, just off Camino Encanto, in the heart of Green Valley at 1004 W. Camino del Arrendajo.

Mexican Sage (Salvia Leucantha)
Yellow Tricho (aka Echinopsis cv. Yellow California)
Penstemon in Spring (Penstemon parryi)

Begun in 1986 by the Men’s Garden Club, the arid garden is intimate and tranquil; only about one acre in size. A wonderful place to spend time, especially if you are new to Arizona. Curious about native or desert-adapted and low-water plants and trees? Come visit and see what your yard can look like! Entrance to this small demonstration garden is free and the park is open to the public from dawn to dusk. There are several walking paths winding through several hundred plants, shrubs, and trees. There are also shaded benches where you may sit and watch the many avian visitors as they also enjoy the garden.
